Hot Apple Pie an Adult Drink to Warm You


This delicious cold weather beverage will warm you straight through winter. It is easy and tasty and you can make some and place it in a thermos to heat up your tailgate party.

A traditional warming beverage among friends and family when the temperature drops, the gang forbids me to show up without it. Hopefully, you will share the same fun with this simple recipe.

Make sure you adjust the ingredients to meet your needs. This recipe is enough for two eight ounce servings.

Ingredients

2 cups apple cider
1/8 cup of sugar
½ teaspoon apple pie spice
½ teaspoon almond extract
1 ounce shot per mug of Malibu Rum
Toasted marshmallows and cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)

Directions

In a medium saucepan over medium temperature, stirring periodically, thoroughly heat apple cider, sugar, and apple pie spice. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract. Pour shot of rum into a mug and top with cider mixture. Add garnishes and enjoy.
